wok hei

My husband and I were in search of a place to eat and quite quickly settled on Rakuzen at Plaza Damas. But like it was fated, the lack of parking space led us to park in front of the other entrance to Hartamas Shopping Centre near Kim Gary and Sao Nam. And no, we didn't makan there. We went to this place called WOK HEI and we were glad we did. A real GEM.

Very simple set-up with cement flooring and rubberwood furniture, the service was prompt and very friendly. The restaurant was packed by the way, almost fringing on the neighbour's space.

We ordered the following :-
Kangkong fried with garlic RM8.50
Simple yet so delish lah.
A must have.
Flavourful. Got real 'WOK HEI'

Lala with chili padi RM12.00
Fresh with a hint of spiciness. Yummy.
Another must have (but will prob. try the lala in superior soup next).
Robust. Got truly real 'WOK HEI'

Butter chicken RM9.50
Fried like the prawn counterpart.
A tad dry.
Must try the Vietnamese sizzling chicken dish next

We finished our meal with one mug of sugercane (chok cheh) each. Cooling. Cool. Full.
